History and use
For her marriage to Alan Rogers, Clare wore an off-white wool crepe kaftan with arctic fox fur edged hood and matching fur muff.

Made by well-known Brisbane dressmaker and designer, Gwen Gillam, the wool crepe fabric provided warmth for a mid-winter July wedding, as did the arctic fox fur muff and fur trimmed hood. With its train later removed by Gwen, Clare’s dress was worn to many balls and special occasions.
