History and use
This QLD Maroons rugby league jersey was produced as a commemorative fan jersey by Queensland Rugby League (QRL) for Game I of the State of Origin series in 2014. Game I of this series marked the 100th game of State of Origin since its inception in 1980. The game took place on 28th May at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
The jersey is a great example of the type of fan merchandise produced by QRL to commemorate significant sporting events in the history of the State of Origin. In this case, the jersey commemorates the 100th game of the State of Origin series.
