Description
A Gauge 1 (1:32) scale electric locomotive painted in green. The model is a Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) 2-6-6-2 Be 6/8 II electric locomotive. Originally known as Ce 6/8's, these locomotives were built between 1919 - 1922. They were renumbered and given the new classification of Be 6/8's in 1941 after extensive remodeling and upgrading. Known as 'Krokodils' (crocodiles) due to their appearance, these locomotives continued in service until the mid 1980s. The model is number 13254, one of seven that have been preserved. 13254 is held in the collection of the Transport Museum of Switzerland. The model is housed in cardboard box with a chipboard display board along with an instruction booklet. The Märklin product code is 5756 for this model.
