Description
Military harness, British pattern. The harness is of a type used by British Commonwealth during WWI and up to the end of WWII.Two makers are listed. Birmingham and nearly Walsall were centres of leather goods manufacture, and Birmingham was a major manufacturer of supplies for the British military in WWI.

This type of military harness was used by British Forces (including Australia) in the First World War, and through to the Second World War. Some parts were made by Martins of Birmimgham, and others by EO Robathan of Walsall.All parts are dated 1917.
