History and use
This cast brass plaque was produced to mark the closure of foundry operations at Redbank Railway Workshops in 2012 and also marked the closure of the last Government owned foundry in Australia.

The foundry had operated at the new Redbank Railway Workshops since June 1965 having been transferred from Ipswich Railway Workshops.
