History and use
These brushes were used by Alex Hamilton, coach painter of Chermside Brisbane. Mr Hamilton painted vehicles in the Museum's collection including the omnibus (H8062) and spring cart (H5421). A panel of his lining and scroll painting is also in the collection (H19458). The brushes were at Ithaca TAFE for a time - information from Warren Archer.
