History and use
A gold rail pass issued by Queensland Railways to His Honour Judge K S Dodds of the District Court of Queensland 1986 - 2011.

Gold Passes were issued by Queensland Railways to parliamentarians, members of the judiciary and other selected VIPs granting free rail travel whenever travel by rail was required. These medallion style gold passes were issued up until about 1990 when a change was made to a gold coloured "credit card" style plastic card.

His Honour Keith Stuart Dodds was born in 1942. He attended Darwin High School and later Brisbane Boys' College. He was awarded a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Queensland in 1968. He was admitted to the bar in December 1968 and worked as a Crown Prosecutor and later a Central Crown Prosecutor in Rockhampton until 1978 when he entered private practice.

His Honour was appointed as a Judge to the District Court of Queensland in 1986 and in 1993 presided over the Disctrict Court at Maroochydore where he stayed until his retirement. His Honour served for 25 years before retiring in 2011.
