History and use
This is a model Twenty Two 1J series tractor. The model Twenty Two replaced the model Twenty. It had a new overhead valve engine. It was extremely popular with customers and sold well for both farming and construction applications. 40inch wide tracks and 50 inch wide tracks were offered. The Twenty Two was manufactured from 1934 to 1939, in series 2F and 1J, with approximately 15,156 were produced. It is reported that Bert loved to drive Twenty Twos as Thiess Bros had used model Twenty Twos on their early farming and road excavating contracts
