History and use
This badge was made for Tasmanian refugee action and support group, Tasmanians for Refugees.

Donated by former Canberran of the Year and Centenary Medal winner, Frederika Steen AM, the badge is part of a collection documenting the multiple human rights events and causes Frederika has been involved with over her long career as a human rights supporter and activist.

The collection highlights not only the importance of human rights issues in both a political and social sense, but also links to more recent and growing numbers of refugees and those seeking asylum as a result of global warming and climate change.
