This is a Girl Guides badge certificate from the 1960s, showing the award of a Girl Guides Tenderfoot badge. To complete the Camp Tenderfoot test and acquire this badge, the guide would have to complete a range of proficiency tests in the following areas: Guide law, motto, promise, good turn, woodcraft signs, whistle and hand signals, salute, union jack, legends, Australian flag, knots and whipping, origin of movement and meaning of World Badge, attendance, strip and make bed, and enrolment.

The items were originally owned by Lois Brown (nee Cripps) when she was a Girl Guide in Townsville in the 1960s. The items were donated to the Museum of Tropical Queensland in 2012.
