History and use
This is a Brownie World Badge, depicting the universal symbol for Brownies. It was worn during the years 1954-1969. The badge depicts a golden hand raised in the two-finger Brownie salute on a blue background.
The items were originally owned by Lois Brown (nee Cripps) when she was a Girl Guide in Townsville in the 1960s. The items were donated to the Museum of Tropical Queensland in 2012.
