History and use
Walkers/ABB built the ICE electric trains for Queensland Railways in the 1980s. These trains were first used on the Brisbane to Rockhampton, Spirit of Capricorn service.

Walkers/ASEA (Swedish company Allmanna Svenska Elektriska Aktiebolaget) were awarded the contract to build Queensland's first Electrical Multiple Units (EMUs) in the 1970s. When ASEA merged with Swiss Company, Brown, Boveri & Cie in 1987, the new company was known as ABB.
