This builder's plate is from a Plasser Theurer (Austria) combined O6/16L Plassermatic Tamper/Liner Machine. It was purchased by Queensland Railways in 1969 and designated an MMA Class vehicle.

Queensland Railways purchased a large amount of track maintenance machinery from Plasser South Africa, Plasser-Thereur (Austria) and Plasser Australia beginning in the 1960s. Machines purchased included MMA Class electromatic tampers and crib & shoulder compactor machines, MMB Class ballast regulators, MMD Class track jacks and rail threaders, MME Class scissor lifts and MMY Class rail planers, spolier transfer cars and flash butt welders.
