Description
A rectangular brass plate with raised lettering cast into it. The face of the plate has been painted in gloss black with the lettering unpainted. There are four holes, one in each corner of the plate.

History and use
A builder's plate from Queensland Railways 1270 Class Diesel Electric Locomotive No. 1295. This locomotive was built by The English Electric Company at their Rocklea, Brisbane workshop in 1966. The locomotive was written off in February 1989.
