Description
An ornatedly designed iron plate painted red, gold and black. The plate has a scrolled bow at the bottom and the Australian coat of arms at the top. The centre of the plate features a phoenix rising from flames.

History and use
After the Second World War, Queensland Railways were required to outsource maintenance work on their aging steam fleet. So high was the demand, that locomotives were sent to Clyde in New South Wales for repair. This builder's plate is from replacement boiler produced by Clyde for a Queensland Railways locomotive.
