History and use
This builder's plate is from a Gemco built MMK Class sleeper crane purchased by Queensland Rail in 1990.
Gemco supplied Queensland Rail with a number of track maintenance vehicles between the 1960s and 1990s including an MMB Class reciprocating scarifier, MMD Class track jack and rail threader models, an MMJ Class junior sleeper borer, MML Class sleeper renewers, MMM Class spike pullers, MMP Class speedswing crane models, MMZ Class joint lifters and MMK Class sleeper cranes.
