This builder's plate is from a Plasser Spot Tamper Model Minima II. It was purchased by Queensland Railways in 1984 and designated an MMA Class vehicle. It was later refurbished and redesignated MMT Class No.6.

Queensland Railways purchased a large amount of track maintenance machinery from Plasser South Africa, Plasser-Thereur (Austria) and Plasser Australia beginning in the 1960s. Machines purchased included MMA Class electromatic tampers and crib & shoulder compactor machines, MMB Class ballast regulators, MMD Class track jacks and rail threaders, MME Class scissor lifts and MMY Class rail planers, spolier transfer cars and flash butt welders.
