History and use
Local artist and Wulgurukaba Elder, Virginia Wyles, decorated this lighter cover in 1989 using fish skin and shell fragments.

The Queensland Museum purchased the item from Virginia to be featured in the inaugural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander exhibition at the Museum of Tropical Queensland (2000-2005).
