History and use
Beads are plentiful in the ancient record. There are a plethora of colours, materials, sizes, desigms, and they were worn in a variety of ways, such as necklaces, bracelets, anklets, rings, clothing and to adorn hair. These beads were accessioned as 'ringlets' and are thought to be of glass, and from Roman period Egypt.
