History and use
Unfortunately, warfare was common in the ancient world, as it is today. Many written records recount the great battles and grand narratives of heroic victory. Written records rarely discuss the personal lives and experiences of those who did the fighting, or the lives of their families at home, both of whom carried the real burdens and dangers of war. This spearhead with long socket for attaching to a wooden shaft by a pin, was a weapon of the Hittite infantryman. Warriors of Anatolia, Hittites were famed for their skills in warfare.
