Description
Well proportioned oinochoe decorated with a profile of a woman on the front of the vase. She wears a decorated net in her hair, earrings, and a necklace. Two curly locks of hair hang in front of her ear. The extra details are added in white and yellow. The artwork is clear and defined; the black glaze is still rich, apart from slight undulation on the neck. The handle has been reattached.

History and use
Oinochoe are wine jugs from Ancient Greece. These graceful vessels take several forms, it held liquid for several people until it was poured. Attributed to the Kantharos Group, who were a group of painter/draughtsmen in ancient Greece.
