Description
Dome shaped (turban-like), with a gap in the top. The hat is covered in glittery blue fabric with floral designs and sequins, draped to mimic a turban. Three strips of black and white fabric with silver sequins (two across the top of the dome, one around the bottom edge).

History and use
In the late 1990s Hmong women began to use new and different fabrics, colours, and decorations. Representing a new style of headwear favoured by Hmong teenagers, this hat, donated by Choua and Sao Lee, was made in St Paul, Minnesota (USA) by a Hmong woman, who sent it as a gift to their daughter in Innisfail.
