History and use
These objects are fragments of arrowheads and their shafts. Metal objects, such as arrowheads, can often deteriorate into fragments over time. Unfortunately, warfare was common in the ancient world, as it is today. Many written records recount the great battles and grand narratives of heroic victory. Written records rarely discuss the personal lives and experiences of those who did the fighting, or the lives of their families at home, both of whom carried the real burdens and dangers of war.
