Description
Blue & white bowl (intact). Transfer printed ware, chinoiserie motif in blue, with two houses, a walled garden, willow tree and apple tree and a boat in mid river heading towards an island in the distance. The central scene is bordered by a single filigree band. Found in nest of 4 with MA4552, 4555 and 4557, this one 2nd bottom.

History and use
In 1790 HMS Pandora sailed from England in pursuit of the HMS Bounty and its mutineers. The Pandora was wrecked in 1791 on its return voyage while attempting to negotiate the Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
Queensland Museum archaeological expeditions between 1983 and 1999 recovered many artefacts.
This bowl was found in a nest of 4 with MA4552, 4555 and 4557. Transfer printed ware, chinoiserie motif in blue, with two houses, a walled garden, willow tree and apple tree and a boat in mid river heading towards an island in the distance. The central scene is bordered by a single filigree band.
