History and use
The number plate from Queensland Railways BB18 1/4 Class 4-6-2 locomotive No.1022.

Built by the Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows, England during a period of scarce raw materials and resources following the Second World War, No.1022 was one of 20 BB18 1/4 Class locomotives ordered from Vulcan Foundry in 1948 (Vulcan's order was subsequently increased by a further 15 locomotives).

Vulcan supplied all 35 locomotives from their two orders in 1950.

No.1022 entered service in August 1951 and was written off in June 1969.
