History and use
This builder's plate is from Queensland Railways BB18 1/4 Class locomotive No.1022.

No.1022 was built by Vulcan Foundry in 1950 (works number 5910) in 1950. No.1022 was one of 35 BB18 1/4 locomotives ordered from Vulcan which were all delivered to Queensland Railways in 1950-51.

No.1022 entered service in August 1951 and was withdrawn from service in June 1969.
