Description
Thin oval stainless steel builders plate with build details and phoenix rising from fire emblem. Most text (excluding model and serial numbers) and logos in relief, possibly through etching process. Background has black painted infill. Logo has yellow, red, and white painted infill. Model and serial numbers have yellow painted infill. Other surfaces appear to have been polished. Four round mounting holes drilled through face at extreme ends of plated.

This builder's plate was attached to the side cab of Queensland Railways 2470 Class diesel electric locomotive No.2481.

No.2481 was built by Clyde Engineering at their Eagle Farm factory in 1981. The locomotive entered service on 22/7/1981.
