Description
A model steam tank locomotive painted light blue, black, red and gold. The model is made from wood, wire and cardboard and is secured to a wooden base. The model is encased with a perspex lid.

History and use
This model of Queensland Railways DD17 Class locomotive No.1051 was built by Jim Windle during the the 1970s.

At the age of 76, Mr Windle began constructing a model for each of the steam locomotive types that were on display at the Redbank Railway Museum (1970-1992). He used carboard, wood and other household materials to make his models.
