History and use
This builder's plate was attached to Queensland Railways B15 Class locomotive No.297.

The locomotive was built by the Yorkshire Engine Company in 1895 along with 9 other B15s ordered by Queensland Railways.

No.297 entered service July 1897 and was converted to a PB15 Class locomotive in September 1908. The locomotive was withdrawn from service in September 1961.
