History and use
This builder's plate was attached to Queensland Railways 1250 Class diesel electric locomotive No.1262.

The locomotive was built by the English Electric Company at their Rocklea Workshop in 1961. No.1262 entered service in October 1961 and was retired from service in 1988. The locomotive was retained by QR and in 2001, the locomotive was used as the deconstructed locomotive in the 'Diesel Revolution' exhibition at The Workshops Rail Museum.
