Not much is known about the meaning, origin, tradition and authenticity of this enigmatic figurine, representing a human with an animal headed body and infants on the lap. Throughout cultures, animals were often venerated, and co-existed with people and gods. Here, the representation of young infant beings could suggest fertility and abundance.
