History and use
Thoroughbrace wagons were popular with drovers, and for cartage of a good quantity of fodder or supplies on western properties. Although a similar style wagon was advertised in the Cobb & Co. factory catalogue in 1915, the thoroughbrace wagon was not exclusive to the Charleville factory. This vehicle was restored by Ferguson’s Coachworks of Toowoomba. Thoroughbrace wagons used the same style leather suspension and undercarriage as Cobb & Co's coaches. (Bolton Collection)
