History and use
This filet crochet doyley was made by Mrs Eliza Margaret Luck of Cambooya. Her son, John Gordon Luck, served overseas in the 5th Light Horse, First AIF, during World War 1.

During the War, many women included patriotic sentiments in their arts and crafts as a way of demonstrating their support for the servicemen at the front.
