This image depicts a group of men and women standing on a small boat on the Brisbane River. This photograph was taken from the river bank as the boat's passengers pose for their photograph. The Victoria Bridge is seen in the background. It is believed that this photograph is of the St. Mary's Literary and Debating Society on the day of their Annual Picnic held at Gibson Island.
