History and use
This badge was sold to raise funds for the Limbless Soldiers Association of Victoria in 1926.

Many community-based organisations were formed to help service personnel and their families recover from the effects of their service during World War 1. Limbless and maimed soldier associations were formed in most states of Australia before the war had even ended. Many were run by servicemen to represent the interests of affected service personnel in matters such as pensions and employment.
