History and use
This certificate was issued by Brisbane's Central Technical College to World War 1 veteran Francis James Mouland in 1921. When he returned after two years’ active service in France, he was one of many veterans who were encouraged to undertake employment training. Mouland completed a driving and mechanics course at the Brisbane Central Technical College. It describes Mouland as “sober, industrious and honest,” and a “very reliable man.”
