Teledex, contains contact details organised alphabetically. Details are accessed by the sliding lever and button. Steel case painted brown possibly imitating wood. Contained inside are paper cards with handwritten contact information.

History and use
Teledexes and rolodexes were developed and brought to market during the 1950s. This particular teledex was manufactured by Die Casters Pty Ltd.

Die Casters Pty Ltd was established in Richmond, Victoria in 1926. They also produced castings for vehicles, homewares and defence products.

This object was donated by to the Marks family. The Marks family were a prominent Brisbane family that made significant contributions to the fields of science and medicine.
