Fragments of mid brown, variously sized pottery sherds from a pottery vessel, said to be from a Roman Funerary Urn. Some sherds display decoration of incised lines and dots.

History and use
These fragments of pottery are said to be from a Roman funerary urn.Cremation was common in Ancient Rome from its foundation until the middle of the 2nd C AD, when burial of the deceased became the custom. Following cremation, a persons physical remains were interred in a funerary urn.
