History and use
This Kodascope Model B 16mm movie projector was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company in 1927. Kodascope projectors were used in conjunction with Cine-Kodak Motion Picture Cameras.

The immediate popularity and practicality of this technology brought about the pursuit of armature cinematography in the early twentieth century. This projector was owned by a Queensland resident who filmed all over the State and particularly in Toowoomba.

Model A and B movie projectors are now very rare. However, Model C is more prevalent as it was made in greater numbers. This projector is also significant as it is an early representation of cinematographic equipment.
