History and use
William George Livermore established one of Ipswich’s earliest soft drink business in the 1890s. His firm, WG Livermore Aerated Waters and Cordial Makers produced soda water, horehound, cordials and ginger beer. The company moved their operation a number of times, from the centre of Ipswich to Booval and then back again. The firm continued to produce drinks until Mr Livermore’s death in the 1920s.
