Description
Base of terracotta group composition. Roughly circular flat slab, pared with a knife to smooth and round edges. On upper surface five or six shallow oval depressions (D30mm) around the edges and another in the centre, which were once occupied by small terracootta figures forming a ring composition around a central element- common examples include figures dancing around a central musician or tree (Webb, Jennifer M., "Corpus of Cypriote Antiquities", Studies in Mediterranean Archaeology, Vol. XX p. 10)
