Virginia Wyles

Biography

Born on Palm Island in 1954, Virginia Wyles is a respected local Elder for the Wulgurukaba people. She began making functioned tourist items as a contemporary response that reaffirms her identity. Wyles has also been actively involved with the Wildlife Preservation Society since the 1980s and the Central Queensland Land Council.
