Frederick Victor Cox

Biography
Frederick Victor Cox was born in Townsville, North Queensland. At age 18 Cox enlisted at Townsville on 3 July 1916 (SERN 4032). His occupation was listed as Despatch Clerk and his next of kin was his mother, Mrs Elizabeth Cox of Francis Street, West End, Townsville. Cox embarked on the 'Boonah' from Brisbane on 21 October 1918 and disembarked in Plymouth. He served in France in the 31st Batallion. On 7 January 1919 he was transferred to the Australian Corps School. It is not known why he was transferred however prior to this he was admitted to hospital at least five times. Cox was discharged 30 November 1919 and returned to Townsville.
