Ludwig Uhl

Biography

Ludwig Uhl was the founder of L Uhl and Sons Saddlers, in Queen Street Brisbane. Ludwig Uhl was the head saddler for Cobb & Co in Brisbane from 1866 until around 1886 when he started his own business. He remained a shareholder and director of Cobb & Co in Queensland. Uhl's sons continued the business and an association with Cobb & Co. Uhl's Saddlery closed around 1980.
