Joesph Kneipp
Biography
Joesph Patrick George Kneipp was born in 1922 in New South Wales. After graduating from Downlands College in Toowoomba, he enlisted in the Australian Army in 1941. Upon leaving the army in 1945 he studied a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Queensland. After graduating in 1950 he became a barrister of the Supreme Court and began to practice in Townsville.
In 1969 he was appointed a judge to the Supreme Court and was the Northern Judge of the court from 1970 - 1992. He was knighted in 1982 and retired at the end of 1992. He died in early 1993.
