Served in Boer War, 5th Queensland Imperial Bushmen.

Enlisted in August 1914, 34yo miner, widower, father of three, of Mt Morgan. Served as driver in 2nd Light Horse.

Died of heart failure, dysentery, Pythisis (TB) in hospital in Egypt, 1916.
