The Cooktown Ring-tailed Gecko is found from Cape Melville to Mt Leswell and also on Stanley Island in the Flinders group, north-eastern Queensland. It is primarily an arthropod feeder but will also take small vertebrates (geckos and frogs).

The Short-tailed Duskdarter is a medium-sized, tan to dark brown dragonfly that inhabits ponds, dams, lakes and sluggish streams and rivers. The adults are crepuscular, flying close to the surface around the edges of waterbodies at dusk.

The Pygmy Wisp is a tiny damselfly that inhabits ponds, swamps and fringes of dams and lakes with plentiful aquatic vegetation. Mature males are dark brown or black with greenish markings and a reddish tip to the abdomen. Young females are mostly red and become black and green as they age.
