This builder's plate was fitted to Queensland Railways PB15 Class 4-6-0 locomotive No.596.
No.596 was built by the Towoomba Foundry in 1912 and was allocated the works number 7. The locomotive was one of 20 PB15s built by the company in 1912.
No.596 entered service in July 1912 and initially worked out of Toowoomba Depot. The locomotive was later sent to Cairns in the Northern Division. No.596 was withdrawn from service in August 1962.
