This photograph was taken at Nixon Smith Wharf in Petrie Bight, Brisbane, during the 1920s. Two trucks and one horse-drawn cart are seen transporting wool bales past the old Maritime Building towards the docks for export by ship. This photograph captures a scene that represents Brisbane’s booming wool export industry during the 1920s.
