History and use
This photograph depicts the SS Doomba pleasure cruiser on the Brisbane River, ca. 1923. The SS Doomba was originally HMS Wexford and was used as a minesweeper by the Royal Navy (1919-1921). It was later sold and converted into a pleasure cruiser, travelling between Brisbane and Bribie Island.
